Title: Finance Manager
Location: Liverpool
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Package

The Finance Manager will lead a team to provide cohesive and corporate oversight, fiduciary control and delivery of financial project management for all awarded grants and contracts.

Main Responsibilities

* Responsible for the line management of the portfolio team, which includes a split of Finance Project Managers and Finance Project Officers: management of the team's workload distribution, ensuring satisfactory task completion, undertake appraisals and implement appropriate development plans
* Implement and maintain company systems and processes for fiduciary control, including the due diligence process, partner compliance and reporting
* Overall oversight of all grants within the faculty to ensure financial delivery, financial accountability and maximisation of resources, supported by the team. Implement and maintain appropriate corporate reporting
* Dissemination of company corporate responsibilities across the organisation to ensure all staff are aware of the need for fiduciary control and know and understand their responsibilities within that framework
* Working in collaboration with the company Contracts team, undertake the review of all new grants and contracts awarded to the charity for financial viability and fiduciary control with renegotiation of more favourable terms and conditions if appropriate
* Preparation and production of monthly management reports detailing the relevant portfolio, its financial performance, illustrations of future cash flow requirements and forecasts of expenditure. Portfolio review to ensure maximisation of internal costs, core salaries and overheads
* Working with accountants to feed portfolio cash flow requirements into financial systems based on monthly management reporting
* Agree grant close out finalisation, reallocation of costs and maximisation of core costs for implementation by the team
* In conjunction with the corresponding Finance Manager, regular review of the performance of the SLA agreement to ensure it remains fit for purpose, ensure all service users are fully aware and up to date with the service provided
* Preparation and production of financial reports on the performance of the SLA at regular intervals throughout the financial year for internal and committee presentation

* Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
* High energy and dynamic individual
* Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to communicate and influence people at all levels within the business
* Substantial broad-based senior management experience
* Financial awareness with experience of managing and reporting on budgets and financial narrative reporting
