My client a leading Media business is looking to hire a senior finance analyst on a 6-9 month temporary basis.

Key responsibilities include preparing departmental budgets, quarterly forecasts and analysis, monthly actuals reporting and analysis, running allocations, and ensuring a strong internal control environment is maintained at all times.

  • Working with departments to manage their revenue and opex budgets and provide day-to-day financial (FP&A) support.
  • Being the first point of call in finance for teams (including heads of departments, VPs of Sales, Creative Planning & Client Services, Content Engagement)
  • Preparation of quarterly financial forecasts (Estimates) and annual budgets
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Headcount ISCP (International Staff Compensation Planning) reporting and reconciliations, working closely with HR to ensure headcount is tightly managed across departments
  • Close liaison with transactional processing team to provide local assistance and review as required in order to produce monthly financial reporting
  • Calculating and booking allocations to the Clusters and fielding Cluster queries
  • Adhere to internal and external reporting deadlines
  • Maintain strong internal control environment
  • Facilitate and implement new processes and process improvements in finance and operations
  • Ensure consistency between reporting in finance systems and Business Intelligence system
  • Work on complex and challenging ad hoc projects, partnering with several stakeholders across the business, including non-finance stakeholders, international stakeholders and external clients
  • Work closely with the Operations Senior Director to ensure accurate reporting of revenue and revenue forecasting
  • Picking up managerial tasks (consolidation of numbers, preparing NY submission packs, preparing monthly submissions)
  • Other ad hoc projects as requested by the Finance Manager, Director or VP Finance.

Skills/Experience

  • Professional accountancy qualification with post qualification experience.
  • Several years’ relevant work experience in a large organisation.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
  • Experience working with a general ledger and reporting results systems
  • Systems experience in data extraction for report writing.
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of how to maintain internal controls over financial processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Well organised with strength in prioritising.
  • Flexible attitude to achieve results.
