Based in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, our client is an international, FTSE 100 blue-chip business with multiple sites across the UK & Europe who are an employer of choice. They are in a period of change due to an exciting project and therefore are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit someone with prior work experience in a related systems role who will be responsible for promoting the importance of good master data management and enforce the concept of data governance.

The successful individual will have a good understanding of basic accounting principles (profit & loss, balance sheet, cashflow) as well as a good technical understanding of hierarchies, master data and the relationship between good DRM management and value add reporting output. The candidate must have great attention to detail with strong analytical and communication skills. You will be responsible for influencing across the business and therefore the ability to deal with senior management is essential, as are strong system and Excel skills.

Duties will include:

• Maintain all "old world" and "new world" location hierarchies to ensure all sites (including new openings, and brand conversions) are correctly placed for Ops reporting purposes

• Reconcile all system hierarchies to make sure no discrepancies between them

• Ensure that all location code attributes are complete and up to date to maximise the value of reporting output

• Communicate all key changes to relevant user groups across the business

• Support and document the set-up of a new work-flow and approval process for hierarchy and Chart of Account changes

• Provide the appropriate level of challenge for requests that fall outside the governance process

• Support Reporting Manager on key projects, including the movement of key finance systems from old to new hardware platforms, and the decommissioning of legacy MI system
