Expanding and innovative Engineering Group has an urgent requirement for an experienced Financial Controller for a 6 month maternity cover contract to start with immediate effect.
Reporting to the Finance Director, with staff management responsibility for a team of 8, the Financial Controller will be responsible for:
• Statutory and company tax filings
• Monthly management accounts
• Supporting the completion of the annual budget process (including cash-flow and balance sheets)
• Managing the financial accounting transactional team
• Ensuring all company tax returns, including VAT and Intrastat, are submitted on a timely and accurate basis.
• Providing timely information to support completion of consolidated group US tax returns.
• Supporting the preparation of the annual budget for the Group, including the cash-flow and balance sheet budgets
• Ensuring the monthly consolidated group management accounts and accompanying disclosures are completed accurately in accordance with US GAAP
• Ensuring all processes comply with SOX guidelines.
• Supporting interim and annual SOX audits.
To be considered for this position you will need to be
• Be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or a well-established experienced Financial Controller
• Have proven monthly Group reporting experience
• Have proven UK statutory accounts experience
• Be able to develop reasonably complex financial models using Excel
