Management Accountant

A leading UK supplier in their sector are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Based out of their offices in Chorley you will take full responsibility for the prepartion of the internal management accounts. This is a brand new role and is due to internal expansion. You will report directly to the on-site Directors; your job will involve:

• Preparation of management accounts on sage 50
• Preparation of monthly accounts pack which will include a commentary, analysis and KPI's
• Preparation of quarterly forecasts
• Cash flow forecasting as and when required
• Liaising with the year end and external auditors
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and dealing with any HM revenue compliance visits
• Oversee and co-ordinate payroll function
• Oversee the accounts staff
• Internal reporting

You will have previous experience of both management accounting and accounts preparation, as well as strong communication skills and an eye for process improvements. You will be proficient in the use of Sage Line 50 and Excel. In order to be considered you must be CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent.
