With turnover now in excess of £300m, recent highly experienced additions to its senior management team, and a strong flow of development opportunities, it is ideally positioned for the next phase in its development.

As part of this ongoing successful growth, it is now seeking a recruit a high calibre, ambitious and commercially orientated individual to join its senior team, and help play an integral part in delivering further success within the group.

Reporting the Group Finance Director and leading a strong finance team, this role will the main point of contact for the regional Managing Directors and management teams, working closely with them to achieve high levels of operational performance and profitability.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Playing a leading role in all aspects of the regional businesses and the delivery of their plans, including all monthly board meetings and operational reviews.
  • Assessing, analysing and challenging business performance, working with the regional management teams to ensure clear focus on attaining profitability targets.
  • Forecasting and managing cash flow of the group on an ongoing basis.
  • Managing operational accounts team to ensure adequate resource is in place to support the regional businesses.
  • Detailed review of land acquisition appraisals and development valuations.
  • Development of consistent management reports, KPIs and commentary across all regions, ensuring clear and incisive visibility of business performance at all times.
  • Leading and developing of the finance team, providing opportunities for personal development and ensuring a supportive, collaborative and ambitious culture.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Strong commercial finance skills with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of results, as well as the ability to spot issues early and provide solutions.
  • High levels of energy, commitment and enthusiasm.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills, able to build strong relationships across the business.

Experience within a contracting related environment is helpful, but not essential.
Key in this recruitment exercise is the calibre and commerciality of the individual, with the ability to fit into and succeed within a fast moving and high entrepreneurial environment.
