Robertson Bell are working with one of the fastest growing charities in the sector to find a dynamic and highly capable Head of Finance to lead their finance team. Having increased their annual turnover by £20m over the past two years, this charity is anticipating further growth and need a technically and strategically strong Head of Finance to lead a highly capable team.

The Head of Finance will be responsible for developing the financial strategy for the organisation in close coordination with the Chief Operating Officer. Overseeing a strong team of qualified accountants, the Head of Finance will have two direct reports with a wider team of 12. Responsible for signing off the statutory accounts, the Head of Finance will be the financial point of contact for the charities various committees and an extremely influential member of the senior management team. Leading on the implementation and revision of systems and processes, the Head of Finance will be tasked with building the capacity of the organisation and setting the tone for finance, leading on the finance functions increased engagement with the wider business. The mission of this charity is becoming increasingly high profile which brings both increasing income and the ability to reach more people. However this also requires the organisation to continuously develop and professionalize.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) and will have experience in a senior management position. Charity experience is not essential but an understanding and willingness to get to grips with charity accounting is.
