Our client is a private equity backed multi-site business with aggressive growth aspirations, looking to double in size over the next five years, with a number of acquisitions already targeted. They are now looking to recruit a truly commercial CFO to partner the CEO and to operate as the key interface between the business and investors. This is a main Board Director role and the successful candidate will have full responsibility for the finance function at Board level. As a key member of the senior management team you will be heavily involved in executing the growth plan for the business, including future integrations.
Role
- Statutory reporting (including appropriateness of accounting policies)
- Monthly management accounts, including cash and performance forecasts
- Monthly reporting to shareholders and banks
- Banking compliance reporting
- 12 month rolling P&L, cash flow and balance sheets
- Co-ordination and liaison with external advisors, including investors, advisors, auditors and bankers
- Commercial financial support
- Finance business partner to the CEO and COO
- Management and development of IT systems and processes
Experience
- Property finance and leverage finance experience
- Acquisition transaction and integration experience
- Experience of multi-site operations, including site acquisition and development management
Requirements
- ACA qualified or equivalent
- Strong financial control and reporting experience
- Previous experience working in a fast paced, multi-site, high growth business
- Experience/ understanding of the nature and demands of private equity backed businesses
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate financial information to non-financial people
- A hands-on and detailed approach, able to work both in a smaller company environment and work both in a smaller company environment and work at Board level and with the Bank and Investors
- A stated commitment to seeing the growth plans through to successful exit, likely to be 5 years
