Our client is a leading financial services division undergoing significant corporate and structural changes, including transactional activity and de-merger. This is creating excellent career opportunities, both now and in the future.
This is a new role reporting to the UK Head of FP&A. Main responsibilities are to:
- Lead the Expenses function contributing to improving the performance of the function, supporting managed separation requirements and delivering insightful management information.
- Provide support to the division functions to assist them managing their expense base. Conducting analytical review of expenses against plans and forecasts and proactively communicating areas of risk or concern in achieving departmental targets.
- Work with the division to manage expense budgets, review and challenge central allocations, identify opportunities for efficiencies and ensure appropriate utilisation of resources within the division.
Qualifications
ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Experience Required
- Developed depth and breadth of expertise within a similar reporting environment.
- Proven experience in developing expense reporting systems and processes
- Experience of process improvement and re-engineering activity.
- Experience of finance systems (e.g. JDE, HFM, SAP etc).
- Excellent communication skills and Stakeholder management at a senior level
- Positive and confident attitude
- Strong relationship management skills with proven experience of building and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Highly competent in the use of MS particularly Excel.
- Desirable – experience in working within the Financial Services sector
