**Finance Manager**

This exciting organisation based in Halesowen are looking to recruit a well rounded and experienced Finance Manager.

This role will ideally suit somebody who is qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a background in management accounts as this is the team you will be responsible for.

Finance Manager Duties

  • Overall responsibility of the management accounts process, produced within relevant time-frames
  • Ensure the accuracy of the accounts by completing revenue reconciliations
  • Fixed costs reviews including prepayments, accruals etc
  • Line management of the Management Accounts team, providing continued support, training and development
  • Prepare commentaries and present accounts in monthly reviews
  • Prepare consolidated group accounts pack to be distributed to the business
  • Ownership of the balance sheet review, ensuring accurate and reconciled balances are maintained
  • Prepare finance reports discussing monthly performance for the Managing Director
  • Work closely to Regional and Service Managers to drive improvements in financial performance - focus on cost control, challenging overspends, identifying savings etc
  • Provide financial training to Service Managers to ensure accounts are fully understood
  • Prepare the annual budgets and periodic re-forecasts
  • Ad-Hoc project work

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Management Accountant/Finance Manager - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in using Sage (Desirable not Essential)
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to deal with a range of people across the organisation
  • Proven ability to deliver to tight reporting deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Have a conscientious attitude towards the accuracy & timeliness of key responsibilities.
  • Ability to be flexible, and to create the functionality to amend reporting at short notice to cater for the fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively - both written and orally.
  • A fast learner with the ability to drive efficiency's in processes where appropriate.
