Fantastic opportunity to join a major UK Super Brand that is going through a positive period of transformation and has set up a new dedicated Controls function. This is a leadership role within this business for a period of 12-18 Months to support the next period of Transformation

 


The Role

 

 

 

The role will report to the Director Goods for Resale (GFR) process work-stream and be responsible for managing the design and deployment of core transactional processing solutions into our International Retail businesses. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate; leadership, functional and cross-functional teamwork, stakeholder management, process expertise, controls expertise, the ability to land change and project management skills. By the end of the role the successful candidate will be recognised as a change leader who has GFR expertise and has the ability to work in a collaborative fashion across cultures/teams. It offers a unique opportunity to embed standard GFR processes across the business.

 


Main Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

  • Finalise the design and implementation of processes and supporting technology to support Invoice Matching, Stock Ledger and Commercial Income (Deals and Charges), primarily using technologies from the Oracle Retail suite. Working in collaboration with Group and local Technology, local implementation leads and Country SMEs
  • Shaping and leading the above specific projects by working with Finance Transformation Delivery Teams to:
    • clearly define scope and outcomes
    • managing expectations from multiple stakeholders
    • leading design workshops to measure as is versus to be processes and understanding implications of change across the Product and Finance organisation
    • help design, implement and stabilise end state organisation
    • ensuring key assumptions and design decisions are identified, documented, validated with stakeholders and approved by the appropriate Governance
    • use Project Management techniques to manage the project; planning, monitoring, risk tracking, dependency identification, etc.
    • manage resources people, budgets
  • Be the fulcrum for ensuring Best Practice approach is embedded, and emerging trends are assessed (e. robotics)

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about making finance a great place to work and improving the way we serve the business. Specific experience and skills include the following:

 

 

  • Good knowledge of end to end GFR processes (Payables for GFR, Commercial Income etc. Stock)
  • Experience of Group Audit and controls
  • Project management and an appreciation of what it takes to drive large, complex projects in Tesco
  • Stakeholder management, providing the right balance of challenge and support
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
  • To be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) or qualified through experience


The role is UK based with International travel
