Key Responsibilities:

Production and detailed understanding of monthly management accounts and forecasts

Responsible for monthly financial reporting and reviews with UK Management team

Work closely with Sector Operation Heads to ensure proactive, accurate and timely financial decision support

Complex projects support, highlighting key risks and opportunities

Ensure all known deals are accurately represented in the sales and revenue pipeline, highlighting financial and commercial risk

Financial support to including financial modelling

Managing and working with an offshore finance team

Management of WIP and Debt balances

Typical Activities:

Preparation of monthly actuals and rolling forecasts, and the interpretation of variances from a financial, commercial and delivery perspective

Close business partnering, owning a portfolio of projects, liaising with operations, Programme/Project Managers and Project Analysts, displaying the confidence to support and challenge.

Attend monthly project reviews, challenging financial assumptions and identifying risks

Understanding and communicating business risk factors, materiality and revenue recognition principles

Close liaison with the commercial team to provide support to resolve commercial issues and commercial advice

Assist with production of monthly Sector forecast

Assist with production of monthly management pack

Final sign-off in sales system

Ensuring accounts invoice WIP and collect cash in a timely manner

Attend deal reviews

Attendance and preparation at strategy sessions

Assisting with budget preparation

The successful candidate with be Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with project accounting and  strong  analytical skills,  and a proactive and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
