Senior Commercial Analyst
£50,000 - £55,000 + Company Car and Bonus
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join a leading FTSE 250 company based in the Hampshire area.
This role is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join a fast-paced commercial Finance function in a leading FTSE250 business. The successful candidate will be either an ACA qualified accountant in practice looking to make a first move into industry or alternatively a CIMA newly qualified who has trained in industry and has excellent financial modelling and commercial bid experience in a large compay. You must have strong commercial acumen as well as the experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business drivers. This is a great opportunity to provide support across all business units, with the individual also having the ability to add value in a commercially orientated bidding and contracting environment, supporting bid teams within the UK and overseas. This is a key position in the business, influencing overall ability to win new business and develop the company as a result.
To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to have:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Degree level education.
- Excellent excel skills and bid financial modelling ability.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to work with a range of senior stakeholders across the business.
- The ability to influence, negotiate and listen to and resolve conflicts with decision makers.
- Experience of effective working in bid teams.
- The capability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders through the sharing of knowledge and collaboration.
- The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
A little more information about the role:
- Work within the Pricing and Deal team to provide dedicated, high quality financial modelling and commercial bid resource.
- Provide support to all of the company's business units, supporting the wider business with expert financial modelling skills.
- The opportunity to travel and co-located with bid teams both in the UK and overseas.
- Work with bid teams to develop and populate cost models that satisfy internal governance requirements.
- Provide optimal pricing to customers, alongside a proposed technical solution for outsourced Contracts.
- Have the ability to influence decision making on bids by using the modelling process to highlight the potential outcomes and impact of different areas of the bid strategy.
