Site Accountant

Marks Sattin are currently partnering a well-known manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Site Accountant. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting the site in driving operational performance. You will interface with operations, procurement and the site manufacturing team to ensure efficient, low cost manufacturing of products that will end up on the shelves of a leading retailer.

As Site Accountant, your overall purpose is to provide financial support to the leadership team in understanding the key performance issues of the business. . Key elements will include providing financial analysis and insight into the operational activities of the business whilst ensuring a robust control environment and balance sheet integrity.

There will also be close liaison with the commercial teams at head office through analysis and decision support.

Key Accountabilities as Site Accountant:

Control & Governance:

• Ensure financial controls are maintained across the site and that monthly/weekly reporting accurately reflects the trading position

Reporting:

• Preparation of the weekly accounts and monthly reporting cycle
• Preparation of the daily P&L accounts and KPI's
• Support the preparation of the budgeting & forecasting process
• Preparation & presentation of financial information required by Site FM
• Involved with standard costing of SKU's to propose to commercial team
• Work with budget holders teams to ensure their overhead spends remain within agreed forecasts/ budgets

Insight:

• Provide the leadership team early insight into performance gap through financial & operational analysis
• Communicate, liaise & escalate issues with the Finance Manager/Financial Controller and external service providers where necessary

This role would suit a newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) that is looking to join a well-established business with very clear progression channels. If you have come from a fast-paced manufacturing background then this would be highly advantageous.

Up to £42,000 basic on offer plus benefits.
