Payroll Clerk

Brewster Pratap are looking to recruit an experienced Payroll clerk to work in a newly created permanent position in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity to not only manage a payroll but also work in a very profitable and growing business. Reporting the Financial Controller you will work in a friendly, fast paced team environment where you will be fully supported and allowed to develop the role as you feel fit.

THE JOB:

Located just outside Wakefield city centre and this dynamic business are now recruiting for a permanent Payroll Clerk / Manager to work in the centralised accounts function.

Your duties will include:

• Managing a monthly payroll that is due to grow to 800 staff
• Downloading and processing all the information from the time and attendance system
• Calculating and input necessary changes into the in house accounts system
• Preparing pay
• Reconciling payroll totals and prepare appropriate reports for
• Forwarding monthly net pay totals to appropriate individuals in preparation for BACS transfers.
• Processing PAYE and pension payments by
• Preparing payroll journals and run payroll month
• Processing leavers and forward P45 information to HMRC
• Preparing all benefits information
• Keeping up to date on all payroll regulatory/statutory
• Reconciling tax year end payments and produce P60s to distribute.

THE PERSON:

The successful candidate will have a strong payroll background and be confident in the full end to end process of payroll; processing/expenses and benefits/P11D's and PSA's.

Salary £24,000 - £27,000 + free on site parking + discount on products
