Tax Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a rapidly expanding innovative financial services business on the outskirts of Leeds that requires a UK Tax Reporting & Compliance Accounting to manage and be responsible for all elements of corporate and value added taxation affecting the U group

The UK Tax Reporting & Compliance Accountant will be responsible for:

-Managing the UK groups corporation tax affairs including all aspects of tax compliance and tax reporting under IFRS
-Preparation of U. tax figures included in group management accounts, budgets & forecasts and bond & investor reporting
-With the assistance of external advisors, ensuring all tax returns are filed on time whilst making sure the planning and delivery of all aspects of corporation tax compliance at U group and single entity level is executed in an optimal manner (considerations include tax payments/GPA, transfer pricing, Advanced Thin Capitalisation Agreements, group relief and claims & elections)
-Ensure the group is compliant from an indirect tax perspective by managing the VAT compliance cycle whilst adhering to a complex partial exemption method operated by the company
-Ensure the partial exemption method is updated to reflect any changes to the UK group structure
-Liaising with external auditors and tax advisors, reviewing outcomes to develop and implement improvements and remedial actions
-Leading the development, implementation and future refinement of systems, processes and policies to so that the company remains tax compliant
-Support the U Finance Director in executing, embedding and continual refinement of the U group's tax policies in establishing a robust control environment and monthly processes to meet the obligations of the Senior Accounting Officer
-Keeping abreast of changing tax laws and requirements to develop proposals for ensuring the company remains tax efficient and compliant
-Assist the finance function in implementing robust recharging mechanisms across the UK and International group
-Reviewing and assisting in preparation three PAYE Settlement Agreements for the U group
-Assist the international group in having effective Transfer Pricing agreement

The successful candidate will require the following:

-Corporate tax and VAT experience is essential in either practice or industry
-Treasury experience or understanding is desired but not essential
-Working knowledge of transfer pricing conventions
-A tax or accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA or CTA
