Greenwell Gleeson are working exclusively with a stand alone UK business which sits in the PE arm of a major listed organisation. It is currently undergoing rapid expansion and in order to fulfil the medium term objective of positioning itself for an exit and has hence restructured and created a new position of a Group Accountant. The key aspects of the role will be:-
* Preparation of the consolidated group reporting
* Management of the full year and interim external financial statements and liaising with group
* Work with stakeholders across to business to help achieve strategic objectives
* Drive initiatives to enhance finance performance by implementing improved financial controls and ensuring balance sheet integrity
* Involvement in finance projects including M&A and investment appraisals
* Prove to be a key point of contact with external and internal stakeholder including the auditors, tax and treasury, directors and investor relations
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following skills and experience's:-
* Qualified accountant having trained within a large audit firm
* Excellent and up to date technical accounting skills
* Experience of working in or auditing a large internationally diverse complex group (Desirable)
* Experience of working in or auditing a PE/VC backed business and/or a listed business (Desirable)
* Ability to effectively communicate across the business and externally
