Senior Financial Accountant

Due to an internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a strong technical accountant to join the international arm of this Milton Keynes based business.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the regional teams with IT Financial Systems, transactional processing, implementing internal controls and accounting for tax and treasury.
You will act as the key liaison between local accounting team and Group accounting team, ensuring consistent accounting policies between territories and differences between local GAAP and IFRS. You will take a lead with financial systems and IT development and sharing of best practice between UK/overseas. And also work with Group treasurer on funding and debt strategy.
As the subject matter expert you will provide management of reporting systems and processes. Conversion of local management and statutory accounts for monthly management reporting and be responsible for accounting adjustments for consolidation purposes into Group accounts and additionally you will monitor key financial KPIs e. aged debt, stock turn, creditor days etc.
You will oversee aherence to internal regulations and laws governing the business and have an excellent understanding of relevant accounting areas e. leases, translation of foreign currencies. You'll ensure all intercompany charging is tax efficient and fully compliant with UK local legislation and correctly accounted for and in line with transfer pricing agreements.
As a finance business partner you will maintain a working knowledge of all of the businesses within the Group, ensuring customer-centric focus and high levels of service. You will operate in the role according to company values and lead by example.

As the ideal candidate for this role you will hold a recognised accounting qualification ACA or ACCA and have experience of repoting standards IFRS and accounting principles GAAP within an international business. Candidates who have trained within a large accounting practice would also be considered for this role.
