Senior Finance Manager required for a global leading insurance company to be based in their York offices. Responsible for identifying financial risks, implementing procedures to support transactions and projects through business change in line with accounting standards including IFRS and Solvency II. If you are a qualified accountant with an analytical flare, a keen eye for detail and a passion for continuous business support, improvement and success, this role will be a perfect fit.

Within this Senior Management role, your duties will include:

  • Providing subject matter expertise on IFRS reporting changes
  • Leading the delivery of change programmes and projects
  • Design, build and implement IFRS target operating models
  • Define requirements to support IFRS propositions – including new solutions and assets
  • Reviewing and providing quality assurance
  • Building client relationships to create long standing continuous support


We are looking for:

  • A full accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or Equivalent)
  • Technical Accounting knowledge of IFRS reporting requirements within Insurance
  • Demonstrable insight of accounting standards
  • Demonstrable experience within the reinsurance sector (either from practice or in industry)
