ABPM as experts in financial recruitment, have been appointed by a leading retailer to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant. You, as the successful candidate for this role, will be a qualified accountant with a strong technical ability, previous experience of managing a team and up to date knowledge of IFRS standards and group consolidation. Your day to day role will include ensuring financial accounts are completed in a timely and accurate manner, as well as working with the Group Finance Manager to monitor cash flow, forecasts and foreign currency exposure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for financial accounts including tax, inventory, fraud and treasury
- Preparation of group consolidated accounts
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with auditors in order to manage business risk
- Monthly reporting, cash reporting, budgets, forecasts and VAT.
- Work with the Financial Controller to develop systems, processes and controls.
ESSENTIAL
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA)
- Strong technical ability (IFRS)
- 5+ years post qualified experience
- Previous experience with managing a team
- Experience with tax
- Commercial awareness and leadership skills
- Advanced Excel skills
