Our Client is a renowned property investment and development company with a portfolio spanning over numerous countries and have continued to grow and diversify the types of properties they own. The company is looking to expand their solid accounting team by bringing on an Accounts Assistant which would focus on the accounts payable.

The Role will include but is not limited to:

  • Coding, batching and processing purchase invoices.
  • Posting manual payments onto computer systems.
  • Responsible for keeping the development/refurbishment budgets up to date and reporting on it on a monthly basis.
  • Tracking payments/requests on money going out of the accounts for development works.
  • Preparing CIS returns.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly cheque runs.
  • Reviewing the purchase ledger to ensure all cash allocations are correct.
  • Setting new suppliers up on the property management system.
  • Liaising with asset managers to ensure invoice queries are resolved.

The Person: To apply, you MUST have experience of working for a real estate/property company on the Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger side and be able to work as part of the hard-working team you will be joining as well as having good time management and a willingness to learn while in this role. Having accounts payable experience will be advantageous but not essential and the preferred candidate will also be proficient in using computer systems, such as QUBE, Tramps and Yardi. The incumbent will be reliable and have excellent communication skills as well as having excellent numerical skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin and develop within your career.
