Deputy CFO

A rapidly growing, international award-winning tech company based in central London has an exciting opportunity for a first-class finance professional to join them as Deputy CFO.

Supporting the CFO, this role is a greenfield position and an all-encompassing crucial role within the team required to lead the finance function as the business continues to grow and moves from strength to strength.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to, and supporting the CFO, deputising as and when required
• Maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement to ensure the finance function stays ahead of the curve as the business continues its rapid growth
• Delivering a robust budgeting, forecasting and planning cycle
• Create a culture of business partnering between finance and business functions
• Overseeing the production of timely, accurate and insightful monthly management accounts / reporting and Board pack
• Ensuring all statutory accounting, audit and corporate governance matters are dealt with efficiently & effectively
• Ensuring first class systems, controls, processes and procedures are in place
• Driving an entrepreneurial culture
• Supporting the CFO by in any M&A activity
• Liaise with audit and treasury advisors
• Leading and developing a first-class finance function of circa 15 people, both Financial Control and FP&A

Candidate Profile:

• Graduate and qualified accountant, ACA essential.
• Sound understanding of the SaaS sector and subscription-based business model
• Currently operating at FD / deputy FD level
• Able to build, lead and develop a high preforming team of people
• Experience of working in a senior role in a world-class finance function
• Broad based finance skill set – FP&A, Reporting, controls, commercial and corporate finance
