As this is a new Finance Manager position, there is a genuine opportunity to shape the role and contribute to driving the business forward, in a demanding, fun and rewarding environment.
Description
As the Finance Manager, you will have one foot firmly within statutory and management reporting, and the other focussed on the wider finance function. You will be responsible for the integrity and completeness of all financial reporting, tax, treasury, and control related items for business. Concurrently, you will be strategically involved and instrumental to budget preparation and ad-hoc finance projects, requiring a solid understanding of the business. This will require excellent personal skills in order to liaise with key internal stakeholders.
This unique Finance Manager position reports directly to the Finance Director, as part of a small and efficient finance team within a fast growing technology company. The role will suit a high calibre ACA / ACCA / CIMA, with a solid statutory and management reporting background, who is looking for further commercial exposure and a more rounded finance position compared to larger corporate positions. There will be wide range of responsibilities as outlined below, however the list is not exhaustive.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
- Month end ownership - PL/BS/CF
- Development of reporting packs
- Create and implement robust reporting process for UK and overseas entities
- Consolidation
- Financial responsibility for overseas entities
- Commercial analysis and decision support
- Tax: CT, VAT, PAYE
- Financial Controls development and adherence, including BS recs
- Lead the external audit
- Working capital management
- Treasury
- Preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Finance projects
- Policy development
- Payroll
- Full responsibility and involvement with transactional finance (one direct report)
