Gigaclear plc, are in search of a Commercial Finance Manager, based out of their head office in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Gigaclear is a game changing ultrafast broadband provider that is making a significant difference to the broadband landscape in rural England. Over the last 7 years Gigaclear has established itself as the market leading rural provider of full-fibre broadband access services.
Gigaclear is growing rapidly, and fuelled by the recent success in securing significant equity investment, and winning many large-scale government funded contracts, we are now seeking a true finance business partner. Someone who has an entrepreneurial spirit combined with strong commercial awareness and business acumen, who thrives on solving problems, and who enjoys collaborating with, and understanding all areas of the business.
Role Description
The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for preparation, governance and reporting across all government funded broadband infrastructure projects. They will partner with project directors, providing analysis of financial performance against budgets, progress against contractual commitments, attendance at project board meetings, as well as provision of contract reporting and management of grant claims. They will also provide commercial support to the business through financial analysis and other input into all manner of commercial and investment decisions.
- A CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of working at finance manager level in a commercial role
- Good commercial judgement particularly reviewing and negotiating contracts, as well as the ability to support directors and senior management
- Proven ability to persuade and influence others, as well as the ability to demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
- Strong financial modelling skills with proven experience assessing new business opportunities, building business cases and evaluating projects
- Exceptional energy and a passion to visibly contribute to rapid commercial growth
The position will be based in Abingdon, but the appointee will be expected to travel to external meetings where necessary.
