Group Insurance Manager

England, Wiltshire, Malmesbury

 

Being the Group's subject matter expert on and point of contact for the global insurance programme, including efficient management of:

  • the annual renewal process;
  • ad-hoc queries from the business;
  • new and enhanced cover requirements;
  • claims and settlement in the best interests of Dyson; and
  • the insurance information repository
  • Continually evolving the insurance programme and ensuring it is fit for purpose for the size, scale and nature of the Dyson Group; that insurable risks are understood; that any pre-conditions of cover are met; and that Dyson receives value for money
  • Creation and maintenance of guidance and training to support the business in all aspects of insurance
  • Managing the Group's relationship with its brokers and insurers; assessment of their performance; and ensuring that Dyson receives value for money
  • Assistance, where required, with reporting to the CFO, Board, Risk and Audit Committees; and embedding the approach to risk management

 

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent from a recognised institution
  • Relevant insurance qualification e. Certificate in Insurance or equivalent

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally where required


Previous experience of working with brokers and insurers on global programmes, including in respect of claims, is essential, preferably in a large and international engineering / consumer products business. Experience of corporate risk management approaches is also desirable.
