Summary:
This role reports into a Head of Audit. You will be working alongside other Audit Manager, Directors and Heads of Audit. This role also works with Operational Stakeholders, at all levels of the organisation including Business Leader level.

Main Responsibilities:
- Full accountability for leading end to end audits including financial and operational audits including planning, fieldwork, reporting and following up on agreed actions;
- Take a leadership and coaching role in audits where appropriate, such as Group Led audits;
- Performing in-flight reviews of ongoing initiatives, contributing towards the creation and maintenance of a robust control framework;
- Lead contact points with senior business stakeholders to ensure that audit issues are addressed, key emerging risks identified and risk assessment support;
- Manage and further strengthen relationship and being point of contact for assigned business unit to understand the operations and drive improvements in the control environment;
- Management responsibility for graduate colleague (TBC);
- Being actively involved and leading others in driving departmental change agenda, for example taking responsibility for the delivery of change initiatives, colleague engagement initiatives and centralised audit actions reporting;
- Driving your own training and that of others, keeping ahead of trends to add value to the business; and
- Additional responsibilities may include: Department Quality Assurance monitoring, audit plan , KPI reporting and department training agenda

Ideal Candidate:
- Strong academic and internal audit track record
- CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant or IIA qualified Auditor, ideally with 3-5 years' internal audit experience
- Experience in leading audits where delivery is through multiple auditors concurrently
- High level of business understanding and the ability to empathise with stakeholders and identify pragmatic solutions which address risks identified
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to demonstrate credibility in dealings with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong independent mind-set and the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Candidates must be highly motivated and proactive, keen to take full ownership of their area of responsibility and focus on delivering results; and
- The individual will also need excellent time and project management skills, demonstrating high levels of accuracy, thoroughness and reliability to deliver multiple audits

- Oracle experience
- Experience of working in Retail
- Experience in auditing global business programmes
