Junior Commercial Finance Analyst

A fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic private equity backed multi-site Hospitality business. The company is growing and looking to take on a Junior Commercial Finance Analyst. With some of the most exciting and innovative brands across the UK they are looking for someone as excited as they are to drive the growth of the business. 

Reporting to the Commercial analyst with excellent exposure to senior staff you will be an integral part of their huge growth plans.

The role

• Carrying out analysis across food and marketing departments to improve profitability by making recommendations on the drink and food offers and the sales mix;
• Preparing and distributing various weekly and monthly reports to the wider business 
• Developing new reports as and when required by the other areas of the business
• Supporting the Management Reporting team at the month end
• Undertaking monthly journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist the Commercial Analyst with the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting (product margin focused)
• Analyse competitor trends
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and standardisation
• Provide ad-hoc financial information to the business as required
• Presenting complex information in a meaningful way

Key experience

• Part - qualified accountant preferred or willing to study toward qualification;
• Strong excel skills in modelling of the large data sets;
• Analytical thinking with good attention to detail;
• Commercial Understanding;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
• Team working skills;
• Flexible and a can-do attitude with an eagerness to grow and learn;
