The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the UK finance team of Husqvarna. 

  • Reporting into the CFO, the Director of UK Finance will lead the existing 3 direct areas of responsibility – Sales Controlling, Factory Controlling & UK Country Officer / Shared Services. 
  • Lead the UK finance teams, in the delivery of support to the 4 divisions with a combined turnover of £225m (Husqvarna, Consumer, Construction, Gardena, with the addition of the factory)
  • Take full responsibility for leading all financial accounting, treasury and taxation functions for the site
  • Lead the preparation of year-end accounts and work with external auditors to complete the statutory accounts
  • Manage all UK external advisory relationships i.e. tax, audit, etc
  • Lead on projects of strategic importance e.g. UK Co-ordinator for IRFS 16, GDPR project and JD Edwards implementation
  • Continuous improvement of systems & processes including management of internal controls
  • Monthly reporting into Group (Sweden)

The Person:

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA or ACCA
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Strong technical accounting background
  • Someone who possesses genuine people leadership skills and can illustrate previous experience of successfully leading and motivating a team to achieve clear and challenging objectives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability and desire to work in partnership with peers and cross divisions
  • Results driven with a positive attitude
  • Flexibility to meet the business needs
