General Ledger Accountant

An opportunity has become available for a general ledger accountant to join a leading technology business based in Surrey.

The role is one that has been created due to the impressive growth the business has made over the last 12 months. You will be responsible for the management and ownership of the ledger concerning all matters around balance sheet and fixed asset control for the organisation. Furthermore, your duties do not rest here, you will be play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function of the business with the aim of driving forward the business through data management and analysis.

To successfully deliver in this high-profile position, you will need to:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a finalist with experience working with the general ledger.
• Ideally have worked in, or have experience of, a blue-chip background prior to this.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to have a positive influence on colleagues throughout the business.
• Be results focused and driven to achieve the targets set, both personally and within a team.

A little more information about the role:

• You will be the first port of call or expert for all matters concerning fixed-asset accounting.
• You will be heavily involved in the month and year-end process ensuring data is accurate, on time and reliable.
• Offer and advise various stakeholders within the business over issues and how to solve them.
• You will be the lead accountant for balance sheet control for the organisation.
