Assistant Financial Controller

Our client, a multi-award winning, market leading SME supplies a range of quality branded products and services to its predominantly Scottish, but UK wide client base.

The effective management of such growth necessitates the strengthening of the existing finance team. As such the business seeks to recruit a high calibre Assistant Financial Controller in an exciting, newly created role.  

Your ideal profile would probably, but not definitively, be a finalist/newly qualified individual with a minimum of three years' experience acquired either in public practice or industry, now looking to progress your career.  

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
*Provision of control over operator cash discrepancies, ensuring controls are effective as planned.
*Preparation of KPI reporting for review by the Senior Management Team.
*Working closely with and supporting the FC, particularly on addressing operational challenges and considerations.
*Involvement in the monthly management accounts including the review and sign off of control accounts.
*Driving efficiencies and improving systems, processes and controls.
*Provision of insightful, quality management information eg customer profitability analyses.
*Building strong working relationships across the business.
*Deputising for the FC as required.  

We're looking for someone with an understanding of business controls, an individual with an ownership mentality and strong interpersonal skills. A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment is a must - it wouldn't work otherwise!
