Optima Professional Services is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a global manufacturing business based in Leicestershire. This award winning business has a reputation built on the quality of its products and innovation within the market place. Based at the firms head office this role is commutable distance from all areas of Leicester, Nottingham, Derby and Warwickshire. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a team of four, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts for one of the businesses largest income streams. Day to day the role will cover maintenance of the GL, preparation of the balance sheet and profit & loss, cashflow forecasting and assisting with the annual budgeting and forecasting activity's. The Assistant Accountant will also support the business with making well informed decisions by providing a financial analysis service, looking at KPI's, sales, profitability and any new business initiatives - due to this there will be a decent amount of business partnering with none finance staff. To be considered for the role you will need to be actively studying for CIMA or ACCA. You will be career minded as they as looking to hire a candidate who has the potential for progression with in the business. You will have a minimum of two years experience of working in a busy finance team. Excellent communication skills are a must as the role will involve working with none finance staff, guiding them on making sure that any projects are delivered profitably and to budget. The business has a great culture and it is safe to say that they have no interest in standing still, they are in a really interesting period of growth. The salary for the role is between £27,000 to £32,000 plus study support and benefits
