An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading, dynamic business who are looking to recruit an Interim Head of Financial, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) on a 3-month temporary basis.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Head of FP&A will ensure that corporate and business strategies are supported by a financial planning, budgeting and forecasting process, providing commercial support and challenge across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business planning and rolling forecast process
- Business partnering to the COO and Senior Leadership Team presenting business plan updates, coordinating submission presentations and providing ad-hoc analysis
- Develop financial models to improve efficiency, functionality and accuracy
- Support the accurate and timely recording and reporting of operating results to satisfy stakeholder requirements
- Develop OPEX forecasting and reporting processes to increase frequency of forecasting and improve visibility and understanding of risks and opportunities
- Develop cashflow modelling and reporting to improve visibility, accuracy and frequency of reporting
- Ensure effective and accurate operation, monitoring of triggers, and development and modelling of the Working Capital Agreement
- Lead, develop and motivate a team of 5
- Support the business with ad-hoc commercial queries requiring financial insight
- Act as a key delegate for the Head of Finance where required
Skills:
- Qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience gained in a commercial environment
- Commercial awareness - Understands and applies financial and commercial principles. Views issues in terms of costs, profits, markets and added value.
- Leadership - Motivates and empowers others in order to reach organisational goals.
- Highly organised, capable of managing own workload to tight deadlines
- Experienced people manager, comfortable managing others' targets and workloads
- Strong communicator, able to identify, understand and discuss complex concepts with both expert and non-expert colleagues
