The opportunity

I am partnering with a PE backed Business Services company looking to bring in a Group Finance Controller in a newly created role. 

This business has an international presence and has ambitious growth plans to more than quadruple in turnover in the next 2 years before a potential exit. The business are investing in infrastructure and are in the process of implementing a new ERP as well as investing in staff. They are growing the finance team to bring rigor and best practice for the private equity house. This is a great opportunity to join at the beginning of the private equity life cycle.

The role

This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO. As Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for leading financial control and accounting for the business, ensuring accurate monthly reporting to support the continued growth of this business and developing financial planning insights to support performance improvement activities

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of high quality, timely financial reporting for the Group

• Build strong relationships across global finance teams to ensure an efficient Group monthly close process.

• Ensure compliance with statutory and tax reporting requirements for Group with overall responsibility for accurate provision of statutory accounts

• Review accounting processes and procedures. Implement improvements to improve data quality and drive standardisation in order to generate efficiency. Ensure accurate cash forecasting – including consolidation of forecasts from multiple business units, treasury and working capital

• Primary day to day contact in the Group Annual Audit process 

• Support production of robust and accurate group-wide financial plans, forecasts and analysis using insightful supporting commentary

• Production of insightful analysis on the financial performance of business units across the Group, including developing and implementing a range of KPIs, in order to build an overview of business performance whilst identifying performance improvement areas where possible

• Act as business partner and subsequently build strong working relationships with business stakeholders, Directors and General Managers   to ensure the company delivers a quality service to customers

• Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills
