Main Duties
- Lead the annual budget and forecasting process
- Analyse monthly data to prepare the P & L report and associated summaries
- Brief the HOD team with the monthly results, capturing feedback and action points to improve performance
- Be responsible for all journals and final ledger balances including review of month end balance sheet, reconciliations and control accounts
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of company accounting records and financial systems
- Produce statutory accounts for the company and its various subsidiary companies, in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation
- Review financial performance against budget to enable robust reporting of variances
- Oversee monthly processing of payroll and payments to colleagues
- Ensure all internal and external reporting and regulatory obligations are met
- Develop and train each member of the accounts team maintaining motivation

Personal Specification
Essential
- Qualified by ACCA, CIMA, ACA or AAT
- Significant accounting experience in a medium sized business to include monthly reporting,
- annual budget preparation, financial modelling, cash flow reporting and invoice coding
- Ability to assimilate data into meaningful financial information
- Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills and proven aptitude for excel
- Experience of developing robust data analysis and financial reporting
- Accuracy of work
