Badenoch & Clark are working with a first class Pharmaceutical organisation based on the outskirts of Cambridge who have recently created a new role for a Head of FP&A. Reporting to the Head of Finance the role will look after the following:

Tasks and Responsibilities:

*Lead the FP&A function in EMEA and manages the daily activities of the local team
*Partner with assigned business units to provide 'real time' support and analysis, while also influencing and challenging business decisions of business partners
*Lead annual Budget and Forecast process by working closely with regional teams, business leaders and Corporate HQ
*Drive improvements to the forecast and budget process to ensure continued forecast accuracy
*Influence decision making through partnering with senior leaders of the business to enable the organisation to meet its strategic initiatives. Key stakeholders include the Commercial SVP, Snr Sales Directors, VPs of Research & Development and several other EMEA and Global Leadership
*Analyse the monthly financial results and monitor adherence to budgets & forecasts
*Develop appropriate financial presentation material for business reviews and present material to Business Leaders
*Lead the creation/development of financial scenarios, including identifying risks and opportunities to drive ROI of projects/programs.
*Perform gross margin analysis for deals as per company guidance, and partner with the commercial team to identify key business drivers
*Support, tracking and advising on strategic resource allocation
*Proactively identifying business risks or opportunities and engage with business partners to determine impact to the business
*Support preparation, structure and negotiations with external customers
*Identify opportunities to drive improvement in processes and reporting
*Ensure financial integrity and effective usage of the management accounts for areas of responsibility
*Provide training and insights to support group to enhance financial acumen
*Partner with the global revenue recognition team to ensure compliance to revenue policy, and assist partners in the interpretation of policies.
*Support the quarterly and annual activities of internal & external financial reviews, including local statutory reporting, GAAP reporting and tax
*Proactive communication to Sr Director Finance of:
◦Performance of Business
◦Key issues, risks and opportunities
◦Key upcoming events in business
◦Business Plans
◦Key business drivers
◦Business Strategies and structures
◦Ensuring information is readily available in correct format

Preferred Experiential Background:

*Proven ability to evaluate the strategic implications of different business approaches and resolve complex arrangements
*Experience in a diverse, global environment
*Involvement in maintaining an effective internal control environment
*Demonstrated success with business partnering and influencing the decision-making of Executive Leadership
*Strong knowledge of financial modelling and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
*Demonstrated experience managing the corporate accounting operations for a multinational company, preferably in a high growth environment

You will ideally be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in a senior FP&A role form within a large, complex organisation.
