Financial Accounting Manager

*Review accounting entries raised and proposed by the team. Ensure that entries are recorded accurately in the general ledger, in accordance with the Group's Accounting Policies and Manual, and substantiated to appropriate evidence
*Challenge the month-end financial accounting process. Identify opportunities for improvement (process and modelling) and review tasks to move them off, or earlier on, the critical path to continuously improve the timeliness of month end
*Review legal entity financial statements. Analyse significant movements in the balance sheet and provide appropriate monthly reporting, commentary and analysis. Help improve understanding of legal entities' financial position and performance to deliver better control
*Certify balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the team in line with the Minimum Standard. Review substantiation evidence to auditing concepts, including completeness, existence and accuracy
*Identify, own and manage risks appropriate to the role. Report appropriate issues and risks to senior management, while supporting offshore resources to understand and resolve issues
*Participate in Group-wide and Finance projects and new products. Provide technical accounting and financial process expertise to project requirements' specifications. Support user acceptance testing and implementation of new financial accounting outputs
*Support the audit (Finance Risk team, internal and external audit) of the Group's legal entities, control environment and financial records
