Practice Accountant
Long Eaton, Nottingham
£22,000 to £26,000 + 5% employers pension contribution + study package (dependent on experience)
Specific role includes:
- Work with coordinator to pro-actively choose prioritised work.
- Amending client book keeping entries with Xero / Excel
- Creating a trial balance, balance sheet, profit & loss account using Tax Calc software
- Ensure that all balance sheet items are reconciled and validated
- Make relevant notes on the client fact find form for the senior accountants to review
The role requires the individual to work diligently, confidently and under their own initiative to support a fast paced organised.
Desired Skills, Experience and Attitude
- 3+ years experience of creating limited company accounts without support working in an accountancy practice (not industry)
- AAT and ACCA part qualified / finalist
- Ability to use Taxcalc software preferable but not essential
- Ability to use Xero book keeping software preferable but not essential
- Can communicate positively internally with senior accountants
- Has a keen eye for detail and accurate with their work and the assessment of others’ work
- Loves being accountable and autonomous in the performance of their role
