Overview:

A top 10 firm are looking to bring in a recently qualified accountant with previous audit experience within Practice. In this role you will work with large multi national Corporates across a variety of sectors (Oil & Gas, Sports & Leisure, Hotels, Restaurants & Bars, Shipping) and gain an understanding of how these businesses operate.

In this role you will lead engagements on site with a team of juniors beneath you and you will be the first port of call for client queries.


Responsibilities:

- Manage the audit process, including budgets and timescales as well as completing required forms, providing commentary on accounts, summarising outstanding points to managers, analytical review, passing file to senior team members, and finalising all review points

- Prepare sets of final accounts

- Achieve deadlines and understand the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service

- Good understanding of UK GAAP and/or IFRS

- Provide effective on the job training for junior members of staff, supervising and giving instructions


Requirements:

- Qualifications: (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

- Solid experience in practice, 50% of which should be relevant audit experience

- Excellent technical and analytical skills

- Good communication and presentation skills

- Competent using MS Office

- Good understanding of business and economy
