Management Accountant

Based in Holborn London , my client has an immediate vacancy for a Management Accountant

This newly-created role will assist with the collation and analysis of the monthly / quarterly financial submissions across the Group – including forecasting, annual budgeting and 3 year strategic plans

Develop financial models / reports and prepare regular information for the Senior leadership team

Assist with the Capex approval process and offer advice on appropriate treatment

Contribute to the Finance team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Key responsibilities

• Consolidation and analysis of the Group monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance sheet and indirect cash flow forecast, based on input from all VPS businesses
• Support delivery of the annual Group budget and 3 year strategic plans
• Financial modelling and data analysis – collecting, building, analysing and explaining models / information
• Support and analysis of capital expenditure and deputise as required in the monthly Capex meetings
• Working with Finance business partners in providing commercial decision support
• Development of effective reports to improve KPIs and management insight
• Support the external audit process as required
• Ad-hoc tasks supporting the divisional / departmental management team as required

Skills and experience

Essential

• ACCA or CIMA part-qualified accountant
• Very good at Excel, manipulating large data set and compiling / aggregating data and presenting in user friendly formats
• Familiar with budgeting and forecasting reporting cycles
• Exposure to forecasting/budgeting and comfortable with collating data and feeding into Excel models
• Experience of creating/ developing some of the following reports; Forecasts, KPIs, MI type reports and with the ability to use Excel in creating models/reports as well as improving existing models
• Use of Hyperion or a similar reporting platform like Oracle
• Pro-active and forward thinking – presents solutions rather than problems
• Ambitious, with a desire to develop the role as the business grows
