Heyland Recruitment are currently working alongside this international specialist manufacturing organisation as they look to recruit a Finance Analyst into their growing Finance team. This organisation provides individuals the opportunity to pursue a career within a fast-paced, industry leading and entrepreneurial organisation. The Finance & Operations Analyst is responsible for collecting, summarising and interpreting financial and operational data, identifying trends and suggesting/implementing solutions.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Produce monthly analysis of sales and gross margin by customer along with detailed analysis of various key cost centres for use in finance reporting pack reviewed by directors.
  • Provide analysis for annual statutory accounts and audit. Produce monthly VAT returns and submit information to the Office of National Statistics when required.
  • Collate operations data from various sources to create KPI report within tight deadlines. Assist operations teams in understanding variances to plans.
  • Analyse monthly operational metrics including inventory turns/write offs/accuracy, delivery performance and productivity and present findings/suggestions for improvement
  • Prepare weekly S&OP schedules for review by S&OP committee. Suggest improvements to processes. Prepare presentation slides for monthly S&OP review.
  • Assist with creation of annual company forecast. Provide S&OP/Operational input to monthly financial forecasts.
  • Complete month end tasks where necessary along with other ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high-pressure atmosphere. Combines strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution.
  • Other related administrative duties as required.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good secondary education with emphasis on numerical and verbal skills.
  • Speed and accuracy in data entry and interpretation, with the ability to review/audit while entering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience in working with an integrated manufacturing software package
  • Understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
  • Prior accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
