DATA / PLANNING ANALYST - HIGHER EDUCATION - 4-6 MONTHS - £200 - £275 PER DAY - LEICESTERSHIRE


I am currently recruiting a DATA / PLANNING ANALYST on behalf of a high profile higher education institution in Leicestershire. They are an employer of choice in the region and offer a unique culture and working environment. The daily rate is £200 - £275 per day depending in experience and the anticipated duration is 4-6 months. The role is open to candidates with transferable skills from all sector backgrounds. A knowledge of SQL would be beneficial.

The post of Data / Planning Analyst will provide support to the Office in a range of work, particularly in relation to production of reports and management information; contributing to proposals and producing briefings and presentations.

The division is responsible for the coordination of strategic, operational and academic planning for the University, and for the management and implementation of models of resource distribution to allocate resource to University activities in line with corporate objectives.

They collate, analyse, organise and publish a wide range of management information to meet internal and external reporting requirements, ensuring that the information produced is nuanced to provide intelligence which reflects the external policy environment and supports internal needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop and analyse statistics and management information
2. Under the guidance of the senior planning analysts support the completion of the University's returns
3. Create standard reports and tables for internal publications and the website
4. Provide and communicate quantitative information to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise form in a variety of media formats, including graphical.
5. Manage projects to achieve defined quality standards and targets, using established methods
6. Maintain awareness of external and internal requirements and ensure compliance
7. Monitor and report to management on progress
8. Maintain an appropriate audit trail
9. Ensure priorities are balanced within the context of their own area and/or specialism and prioritise and schedule work and resources accordingly, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
10. Identify and anticipate future requirements within their area and/or specialism
11. Listen to and communicate clearly and openly with others, both within and external to the University
