Financial Accountant

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role would suit either someone who is actively studying towards completing their ACCA/CIMA qualification, or someone who is qualified and who is looking to gain experience in a dynamic business environment. This role is initially for a 6 month contract.

Responsibilities:

The role will be varied, but the main responsibilities will include:

·         Month end responsibilities

·         Ledger management

·         Assist with the budgeting and forecasting

·         Supporting the Finance Manager as required

·         Assisting with preparation of financial accounts

·         Assisting with reporting

·         Working with external auditors

·         Providing support on year end stat accounts

Person Specification:

Applicants for this role should be actively studying for an accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA) and be interested in gaining experience in a commercial environment. Applications should have good practical knowledge of reporting standards and financial accounting techniques, as well as good communication and strong excel skills.
