Accounts Assistant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Pratap are recruiting an Accounts Assistant, on an exclusive basis, for a well established Sheffield organisation. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham and Chesterfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to job a business experiencing year on year growth. THE JOB:

Duties will include:

Maintaining the sales ledger:
Credit checking new customers via 3rd party
Setting up new accounts ensuring all information is correct
Processing invoices
Sending out statements

Credit Control:
Credit control using written and verbal communication
Dealing with queries
Liaising with customers and internal staff to resolve issues
Posting and allocating payments

Maintaining the purchase ledger:
Setting up new supplier accounts
Checking invoices against delivery notes and PO's
Dealing with queries
Batching, coding and inputting invoices onto the system
Maintaining supplier accounts
Reconciling supplier statements

Bank reconciliations
Maintaining the petty cash
Other ad hoc duties as required

THE PERSON:

Previous experience is essential
The successful candidate will be studying towards the AAT qualification
You must be educated to GCSE level with Maths and English Grade C or above
You will be computer literate
