Based in the Widnes area our client is a leading £35m t/o Service/Retail Business operating as an autonomous division of a leading International Group. Reporting directly to the FD you will provide maternity leave cover for the Financial Controller, operating in a small, close knit, friendly and supportive team with a remit including:

  • Responsible the end to end audit process
  • Year End Accounts
  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Building up detailed budgets with cost centre managers
  • Monthly meetings with cost centre managers to review
  • Preparation of the Management Information pack for the Board and Exec team - P&L, BS, Cash, Debtors, Capex, Variances etc
  • Chairing the Capex Committee and managing twice monthly capex request and review meetings
  • Cash flow management and reporting (including reporting to lenders)
  • VAT return validation
  • First point of contact for auditors
  • Covenant reporting
  • Finance lead (supporting the FD) on the 5 year business plan for lenders
  • Project Support
  • Management of a management accountant

Applicants will be Fully Qualified ACA (possibly ACCA), practice trained Financial Controllers who are familiar with working in a hands on, fast paced and varied role. You will be familiar with working to strict deadlines, will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise. A competitive salary envisaged to £50k is complimented with benefits including Completion Bonus, Company Bonus (to 10%) Pension (3%), a 0900-1700 week (with some flexibility around start/leave times) and Free Parking. The FD is happy to consider applicants who are looking for a 4 day week or 5 day week and whilst ideally looking for someone who has covered all the areas outlined above, applicants who are 80% there and ready to make the step into this profile of role will also be considered..
