Senior Management Accountant

My client, has a strong global presence and are a real success story.  With significant acquisitions completed in 2016 and 2017 and others targeted for 2018 they are now looking to expand their talented finance team with this key appointment.

As the Senior Management Accountant you will be an integral member of the finance team working within the group finance function. Working alongside the Senior Finance Controller with the main focus on the European subsidiaries.

This is a broad role supporting the overseeing all financial and commercial aspects of the subsidiaries in Europe, including management accounting, financial accounting, cost control, cash management, taxation, forecasting and budgeting as well as systems implementation.

The role will provide a good insight into the Group’s workings and also exposure to a variety of accounting skills, e.g. tax and treasury in addition to financial and management accounting. You will manage the finances of the Group’s European subsidiaries including France, Belguim, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Responsibilities will be wide ranging and include (amongst others) working to provide financial support to the local commercial team and local financial controllers to maximise profit and cashflow, and reviewing the subsidiary management accounts and results working closely with the local teams to understand the business and challenge the results.

Applicants must be qualified, with a strong technical and commercial foundation. Crucially you will now be looking to take on increased levels of responsibility and ownership.
