Payroll Manager

I am currently recruiting a Payroll Manager to complete a 4 month contract for a successful business based in Crewe.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for supervising a team of 3 Payroll Officers and overseeing a large payroll consisting of both weekly and monthly payrolls.
The ideal candidate must be fully conversant with current payroll legislation and pensions. You will have strong supervisory experience and the ability to direct and support the team where required.

Duties include;
* Governance of end to end payroll process, ensuring approvals, checks and balances are completed where required and auditable
* Running of tax year end procedures and associated reporting
* Pensions
* Management information and analytics production and interpretation
* Monthly payroll journals
* Payroll queries and tax planning

The successful candidate will be available on minimal notice. You will ideally have prior experience of consultancy/ project work.
