In this role you will be responsible for owning your business relationships and acting as the Finance point of contact to senior stakeholders. As the Finance Business Partner it is your responsibility to build strong rapport and trust to achieve the credibility to enable challenging discussions.

Their Finance Business Partners are key; they are fully integrated members of the business management team, setting strategy, and driving themselves and those around them to add value.

 

Description

 

As a finance business partner to one of the transmission, operation, or capital delivery businesses you'll:

  • Own the relationship with your business stakeholders, building strong rapport and trust to achieve the credibility to enable challenging discussions around commercial performance
  • Understand the financial challenges faced by your business leads and strategically influence them to deliver options to meet our financial targets now and in the future
  • Effectively collaborate with your Finance colleagues to ensure provision of consistent, high quality financial information reinforced by high quality insight and financial advice, supporting the business to deliver the right financial outcomes

 

Based in Warwick, with some UK travel, you'll report to a senior finance business partner and will work within a team of equally excellent individuals. Whilst you might not have any direct reports in this role you'll be expect to form close connections with those in other teams and use your influence to deliver performance.

 

Profile

The successful Finance Business Partner will:

  • Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - Essential
  • Have a successful track record in identifying opportunities and delivering against them
  • Have strong interpersonal qualities
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with key stakeholders
  • Have the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders
  • Have what it takes to create a compelling vision for others and can talk to us about how you lead others through the transition to the desired state
  • Be confident that you can quickly grasp the different commercial and regulatory lenses on an issue to give the best outcome for a decision
  • Have a strong self-belief coupled with an ability to identify your development goals as well as supporting those around you in delivering theirs
