Your new company
My client is one of the UK's largest accountancy firms operating worldwide across over 1,000 offices. With a reputation for quality, few firms offer the same excellence and breadth of work to their employees. Despite their impressive profitability and size, the firm focuses on their employees, providing professional development; with Partners ensuring their time is spent supporting staff and nurturing talent.

Your new role
Joining a Tax Team which operates across multiple Scottish offices, the Associate Director will be a senior member based in Edinburgh. The purposes of the role are to support the Partners in servicing corporate clients, direct Tax services and people management. With a client base which is largely privately owned companies and groups, on a daily basis you will approve and sign off compliance and advisory work in accordance with firm standards. Acting as a major point of contact, you will manage clients. This will include responding promptly to requests, providing regular updates and controlling billing. You will have frequent involvement in tax planning and complex issues, and identify risk and business development opportunities. Responsible for more junior members of staff, you will appraise, motivate and develop tax professionals, while ensuring deadlines are met.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have several years and a proven track record at a senior level within a Tax capacity at a reputable Chartered Accountancy firm. You will be CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent) with in depth Tax knowledge and the ability to deal with complex issues. You will have client, project and staff management experience, and have successfully demonstrated yourself in respect developing new clients and business.

What you'll get in return
In addition to receiving a competitive salary, you will gain an impressive benefits package. This includes income protection, life insurance, private health care, 28 days holiday (with the option to buy and sell), pension (match up to 10%) and other flexible benefits, such as child care vouchers and dental care.
