Commercial Finance Manager

A fabulous opportunity to join a design led manufacturer poised for its next stage of growth and innovation, as Business Strategy Manager. This is a new and exciting role with the brief to lead, drive and complete a variety of business-critical projects. These will cover the whole business including Business transformation, process simplification and change, logistics, and rollout of other projects. The role will work closely with the Managing Director and Finance & Operations Director in providing strategic support.

The role is split into four parts

1. Business Modelling /Scenario Planning/Forecasting

Working closely with the Managing Director and Finance & Operations Director, responsible in preparing the modelling for the strategic plan including scenario planning and risk analysis to support the board.

2. Project Management

Responsible for the execution of the main projects within the business, ensuring projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget, involving all relevant stakeholders.

3. Commercial Analysis and Recommendation

To provide data management support to the SMT, including the creation of analytical tools for benchmarking purposes.

Provide analysis of the financial information and business intelligence across multiple sales channels and geographical markets.

4. Operating Process and Analysis

Work with the business to ensure processes are as efficient as possible and, where inefficiencies are identified, responsible for managing the transition including managing the budget, working with other managers to embed the processes successfully.

Candidate Requirements

Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) ideal but not essential.
Experience in driving change, and having an innovative approach to your work.
Flexibility - This is a brand-new position and will therefore need someone with the flexibility to get involved in all areas.
High level of excel skill (Macros highly desirable)
Demonstrated financial modelling, analytical and quantitative skills;
Strong team player with interpersonal skills as required interacting with personnel across all levels of the business
Self-starter with strong organizational, project management and follow-through skills;
Comfort with organizing and interpreting large amounts of data;
