MERJE are pleased to be partnering an extremely successful and rapidly growing FMCG organisation in the search for a Head of Finance. The organisation is highly entrepreneurial with established relationships across multiple retailers and now going through its next stage of growth, as part of this strategy they require an ambitious Head of Finance to support the company and develop the finance function.
Reporting director for the founder the role will provide financial support improving systems and processes whilst also challenging the Directors with the commercial and strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities include
- Prepare the draft annual budget & medium term financial plan
- Monitors performance to ensure that resources are used within budgetary constraints & in line with value for money principles
- Challenging financial assumptions & performance, as well as the robustness & realism of forecasts
- Provides high quality, accurate Financial and Management information on a timely basis
- Advising on costing & pricing information to enable decision making
- Ensures the best use of funds & that cash flow is managed effectively
- Advises on the financial aspects of new & existing contracts
- Prepare the organisation’s statutory annual accounts
- Ensures effective planning & management of the company’s tax liabilities
- Acts as main contact with the company’s
- Leads in supporting the yearly audit
- Assists in the appraisal of investments & projects
Being a qualified accountant, ideally with experience from within the FMCG sector or related industry, you will be looking to grow your career within a fast growing organisation, with the following skills
- Advanced/Expert user of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the preparation of budgets, commercial reviews and analysis and decision support
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence at all levels
- Ability to work on own initiative but equally be able to work as part of a team
